Colorado Co-ops Study Circle Presentation Feb. 28, 7-10PM

Co-op Populism in Times Past

The Grange Movement.jpg

In 1892, the Grange-powered Populist Party won the governor's seat in Colorado, and a year later women won the right to vote. Today the term "populism" is making a comeback across the political spectrum.  In the late 19th century, the movements that went by that name took some very different forms, and they had cooperative economics at their center. This meeting of the Colorado Co-ops Study Circle, will be at our historic Altona Grange founded in 1891.  Learn more about the Grange Movement from 4th generation Grange member Donlyn Arbuthnot.  Free and open to the public. www.meetup.com/Colorado-Co-ops-Study-Circle
