the Spirits is this Sunday, October 19, between noon and 5 pm at
Columbia Cemetery. Come and meet some of Boulder’s most dearly
departed! Eben G. Fine, Mary Rippon, and James P. Maxwell are just a
few of the costumed “spirits” who will rise from their graves in
Columbia Cemetery for just one afternoon to tell their stories. Get
into the Halloween spirit with Victorian mourners, funereal
music, vintage hearses, and a reenactment of a solemn Masonic burial
service by members of Columbia Lodge #14! New this year is a “Cemetery
Symbolism Scavenger Hunt” for children including prizes.
Tickets: $12 for Historic Boulder members; $15 for non-members; $5
children/students under 16. Tickets available at the Main Gate located
at Ninth & Pleasant Streets and the Ninth Street and College Avenue
Gate on tour day or in advance at www.historicboulder.org.
Presented in cooperation with the City of Boulder Parks and Recreation
